I just got my first car and its a 93 honda accord lx. I wana know what I should do too make it faster, should i throw a V-tech into it? And if i did put a V-tech in it how would i do that and what else would I need to make it work. Do i need a new Transmission? I know a new air filter would help. but i also dont wana spend thousands on doing this. And i can buy a V-tech for 400 bucks i just need to know if itll work and what i gotta do. And theres also an exhast from a mitsubishi eclipse that i can get cuz i work at an auto salvage and its one of those fat ones that looks cool and makes it sound nice but can i just cut it off and have it welded to my car? Help MEE

You should do all those things.
Sell it and get a V-8 American muscle.
Ok, you need some education. I suggest starting here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VTEC to learn what vtec is. No to transmission. Yes to filter. If you get the muffler it will be annoying as hell after a while. The exhaust probably will not work as both an Accord and an Eclipse have different diameter piping. You just need to keep on saving money and learn the principles behind the upgrades you're wanting to do. At most, you will gain 5 hp. Aka no power difference, just sound. Just drive, read, and wait.
dude honestly stick to jdm. if u can swap the engine for a bigger one maybe a v6 and if u cant switch to v tech and put a cold air intake on it. buy a performance chip. (not the fake **** i mean real) dont get a coffee can exhaust! get a real nice cat back with wide piping which willl let the exhaust flow out easier and make it sound good. also if it is auto try to make it a manual or just sell the car and buy a manual. also lower it or slam it. and put a bunch of jdm stickers on it and a roof rack will complete the job! simple does it

Once you started talking about an exhaust from a whole different car company that "looks cool and makes it sound nice", I wanted to punch you in the face. But unfortunately since this is the internet, I'll just have to school you. First off, the motor from a 93 Honda Accord LX is not meant to be for racing. With that said, stop what you're doing, or buy a different engine. Next, just so you know, there's a good thing and bad thing about Honda engines. The good thing is that they are very efficient, meaning the stock motor makes good hp and tq with the stock parts. The bad thing is, Honda engines are nearly maxed out from the factory. An exhaust will get you 5hp. An intake will get you 3hp. A header maybe another 5hp. I had an Evo 8. An exhaust got me 12hp. An intake got me 9hp. A header got me 10hp. An ECU reflash got me an additional 30hp. Well you get the point. It costs thousands of dollars to even see any noticable difference in a Honda. So with that said, choose a better platform to start with, or it's gonna take a fortune to even see any results from your Accord.
Don't even try if its automatic trans. (Ur not in to civics?) Just get a jdm swap. Like. B16 vtec or b20 vtec. If u wanna spend a lot more then try the kseries. But idk wat u talkin bout 400$. Bro 4 a clean swap u should atleast spend 1500
