Took my 2008 328i to the dealership today for my annual oil change (which costs $155 by itself) and got talked into getting the premium pkg that costs $385. It includes a fuel injectors cleaning as well as micro air filter replacement, and the service guy told me the fule injectors cleaning by itself costs over $200. Did I get taken advantage here?

Like I wanted to save money so I decided to do the oil change by myself, I managed to empty the oil tank and at the supermarket there is two kind of oil like canola and olive.

They say the canola is better because there is more omega3 but I wonder if omega 3 are totally important for cars, because car are not like humans.

So witch one should I totally choose ?

I have a 1997 Chrysler Cirrus LXi and i have to refill the oil like every 2-4 weeks. BIG oil consumption… well.. a few days ago I filled it and I didn't notice how much. Well it looks like its a quart over. I'm going to drain it tomorrow and refill but.. have I caused any damage with it in these few days? The light only comes on when its idling in drive. In park when the RPMS go up.. it goes off… or when I drive in general. I also noticed one time white smoke out of the exhaust too… someone please help me? This is my first car and I may have ruined it totally.

I reacently took my 1998 jeep wrangler Sahara into the local pep boys for an oil change. after paying the technition asked me if i had any aftermarket security stytems on my jeep because it wont start. i do have an aftermarket alarm, but it has been installed for neerly 7 years with no problem. after i had gotten my jeep home i went to use it later that day and it still wouldent start. i had to call pep boys to find out that they had to push start it. i feel like their trying to rip me off, so i want to fix it myself. today i rented an acetron autoscanner to try to find out the problem. No codes have appeared. anyone know whats wrong with my jeep?

Why is my check oil light on?

Hi i have a 1989 ford ranger with a 2.9 L V6 engine in it. When i bought it the check oil light was on i checked the oil and it was pitch black and had low oil pressure. so i changed the oil and the check oil light went off for about 3 weeks and now it came back on. Its getting good oil pressure according to the oil pressure gauge. I just checked the oil and the dipstick was at the area where it says to add a quart of oil.

additional dettails i didnt change the oil filter because i couldnt get the old one off i do have a new one. Also sometimes if i turn the truck off and turn it back on the oil light goes off
